Everyone dies, but not everyone lives. The one season to live for is summer and there could not be a better spot than the Churchill Bar and Terrace to start living. Honey and I had our last cocktail adventure at the Booking Office and it was my turn to chose our next spot. My criteria was simple, good company (Honey), amazing cocktails and an outside terrace. I always say this but I will say it again, London is a whirlwind with so many bars it is difficult to chose where to go and easy to go wrong.
Though the inside of the bar is absolute luxe, Honey and I skipped this as we wanted to enjoy the Friday night evening sunshine.
I chose the Churchill Bar and Terrace at the Hyatt Regency London – The Churchill as it was the perfect spot to fulfil my other two criteria, amazing cocktails and an outside terrace. Also from the 8th June the bar as partnered with the National Trust’s Chartwell to create inspired themed cocktails.
TO START ONE MARTINI AND ONE LE FIZZ PLEASE
With an extensive cocktail menu it took us a while to decide what to have. Mainly because I do this thing where I fall in love with the name of a cocktail but forget to read the actual ingredients. Does anyone else do that?! To start with Honey went with a classic Martini and I started our cocktail adventure with a Le Fizz. You know me, I try to get my daily bubbles intake where I can!
AND NEXT WE WILL SHALL HAVE ONE BRAMWELL AND ONE CHAI TEA POT
If I never drink another cocktail again and I had to drink champagne for the rest of my life (wishful thinking) I would be fine with that idea as my tea pot cocktail was great. When alcohol was banned during the prohibition era people had to think of innovative ways to enjoy life’s simple pleasures. I could actually imagine me doing exactly the same thing, hiding a divine cocktail for my guests in a tea pot! The cocktails are served in vintage tea pots and the whole ceremony actually reminded me of a Japanese tea making ceremony. Unfortunately I was too caught up recording it for my instastories and didn’t get any pictures so you will simply have to trust my word and go and try one yourself.
FOLLOWED BY LADY ROSE TIMES TWO PLEASE
The two lady Roses were the perfect sweet ending to a delightful evening on the Chartwell Terrace. Great service, great company, great cocktails and great weather (for once).
