2 OF MY FAVOURITE ROOFTOP BARS FOR SUMMER IN LONDON

Who doesn’t love a cocktail or a glass of champagne? Now who doesn’t love a cocktail or glass of champagne on a rooftop bar in one of the world’s best cities! I am a lover of both, and thank God that London has so many amazing rooftop bars.  I have managed to sample quiet a few of London’s rooftop bars (my bank manager can vouch for this) but I have two favourite rooftop bars that I go back to time and time again. With summer officially here, it’s the perfect time to share with you two of my favs.

AVIARY

Okay I contemplated whether to share this on the blog however I like to share as I don’t think wealth, health, happiness, love and good rooftop bars should be limited to those in the know. So I am going to let you into a secret! Sssssssssssssssssssssssssssh!

When it’s super scorching in London and you fancy a swanky rooftop bar but don’t fancy queuing because you didn’t make a reservation as the sun came out with no notice then Aviary  in the  Montcalm Royal London House Hotel is the place to be! I absolutely love this bar, because it luxurious, chilled and you can have lots of fun here!

RUMPUS ROOMS

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. Having got ridiculously tipsy here not just once but a few times this is one of my favourite rooftop bars to frequent. I am most certain half of summer 2017 will be spent here. Rumpus rooms is in the wonderful Mondarian Hotel, where you can also find the pretty cool restaurant Sea Containers.

The bar itself  has amazing views across the River Thames, and you can get pretty good views of St Paul’s from the terrace.

The cocktail and drinks menu is pretty extensive and you can sample numerous cocktails from the standards to the more unusual.  If you want to suddenly end up out out, then Rumpus Room is the perfect place to have summer drinks. After a few cocktails it won’t be long until you convince yourself that staying for the rest of the evening until the bar closes so that you can dance the night away is a good idea (or is that just me). Yolo!

You should, it’s a great spot. Rooftop cocktails are officially the best.

You should try the terrace at Oxo restaurant! The view over the Thames is simply breathtaking (and the food is really good too)
The Sushi Samba’s outdoor bar at Herron Tower is also out of this world 🙂
